Qualifications

• AHA Basic Life Support certification required.
• Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/CMAC certification preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/CLIA/ADA standards.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• TB validation or within 6 months of hire preferred.
• Strong data entry and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of clinic front office procedures and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support onboarding by assisting with precepting new team members and externs.
• Assist teammates with patient workload and daily tasks as needed.
• Complete prior authorizations, paperwork, and RightFax requests.
• Monitor and respond to pooled inbox and messages.
• Provide lunch coverage as scheduled.
• Report clinic-specific observations to management.
• Maintain point-of-care testing logs and equipment when MA III not present.
• Participate in outreach activities as directed by leadership.
• Perform other duties to support clinic operations.
