Job summary

Adapt Integrated Health Care in Winston, Oregon is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team. The role includes scheduling, charting, assisting providers, taking histories and vital signs, and preparing patients for procedures.

We welcome candidates with experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting; CCMA is preferred and EPIC experience is a plus. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care setting is required; CCMA certification preferred.
• Experience with EPIC medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and receiving patients.
• Preparing and maintaining medical records.
• Handling telephone calls and correspondence.
• Liaising between the provider and patients.
• Asepsis and infection control.
• Taking patient histories and vital signs.
• Performing first aid and CPR.
• Preparing patients for procedures.
• Assisting the provider with examinations and treatments.
• Collecting and processing specimens.
• Performing selected diagnostic tests.
• Preparing and administering medications as directed.
• Maintaining clinic equipment and supplies.
• Promoting a culture of safety and reporting hazards.
