Job summary

Legacy Health in Oregon is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support primary care and specialty clinics. You will assist with patient care under physicians' direction, prepare patients for visits, and help ensure smooth clinic operations.

This role emphasizes teamwork, accurate EHR documentation, and attention to social determinants of health to improve outcomes. Prior MA experience and MA certification within a year are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year experience as a clinic back office medical assistant preferred.
• MA certification within one year may be required in some jurisdictions.
• Oregon EMT program completion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under the direction of physicians.
• Prepare patients for office visits and procedures.
• Performs vaccine administration, phlebotomy, and point of care testing.
• Address patient questions, process medication refills and schedule follow-up appointments in EHR.
• Utilize electronic health records for efficient care.
