Hometown Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant/Receptionist to support physicians with clinical and administrative tasks in a friendly primary care setting. You will welcome patients, collect demographics and payments, and assist with exams and point-of-care tests.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a physician practice, CPR will be needed, and a passion for preventive care. Regional travel may be required with a team-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a physician practice or outpatient clinical setting preferred.
• Strong E-Clinical Works experience preferred.
• Passion for primary care or internal medicine.
• Self-starter with excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).

Responsabilités

• Welcomes patients and visitors with compassion and provides exceptional customer service.
• Register patients by obtaining demographic, insurance, and payment information.
• Handle payments for services, including co-pays.
• Answer multi-line phone system.
• Daily reconciliation of monies collected.
• Cleans and stocks exam rooms and supplies.
• Take patient histories and document vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care testing (strep, mono, glucose, urinalysis, pregnancy).
• Conduct phlebotomy and prepare samples for lab processing.
• Administer immunizations and injections per provider orders.
• Assist with routine exams and procedures (EKGs, ear/eye care, pelvic exams).
• Educate patients on medications, preventive care, and follow-up steps.
• Handle callbacks, pharmacy coordination, and referral scheduling.
