Allina Health Woodbury Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant (Primary Care) to support providers and the nursing staff in delivering timely, quality patient care. The role involves rooming patients, managing patient flow, and assisting with injections and procedures.

You will document patient information in EMR, prepare patients for exams, and coordinate with RN or provider on test results and care plans. A 1.0 FTE schedule includes day shifts with no weekend rotations, and a $2,000 starting

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Medical Assistant program or a comparable healthcare education program with a similar scope of clinical training.
• Candidates with fewer than six (6) months of Medical Assistant experience must have completed a minimum of 160 hours of clinical externship or equivalent clinical practicum.

Responsabilités

• Rooms patients, manages patient flow and obtains adequate patient information.
• Administers injections and assists with procedures.
• Records information in EMR and communicates with RN/provider.
• Assists with patient registration/scheduling as needed.
• Maintains infection control and safety in exam rooms.
