Job summary

AbsoluteCare is seeking a Medical Assistant to work with a dedicated Primary Care Provider, supporting primary care activities for the PCP panel and facilitating visits. You will engage with members to advance their care plan goals through care coordination and relationship-building.

The role involves greeting members, preparing for onsite and telehealth exams, taking vitals, conducting screenings, and closing quality measure gaps to improve care quality.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant required.
• 3+ years of experience practicing as a medical assistant.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR training & certification.
• Phlebotomy skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the practice-based medical assistant, supporting onsite providers in facilitating high quality primary care that promotes appropriate healthcare utilization.
• Greet members in the waiting room, establish rapport.
• Prepare members for onsite and telehealth examination. Take vitals, perform appropriate social, behavioral, and medical age and condition-based screenings (e.g., point of care testing, EKG, spirometry, and eye exam).
• Close quality measure gaps.
