Job summary

Upperline Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (Primary Care) to support in-office clinical duties and coordinated care beyond visits. Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting histories, vitals, injections, phlebotomy, EKGs, and wound care as part of a team-based care model.

The role emphasizes continuity of care, referrals, prior authorizations, and patient advocacy in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is required; documentation requested during application.
• Two years of MA experience preferred.
• Primary care or outpatient clinic experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic pharmacology.
• Experience with team-based care models and care coordination is preferred.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; AthenaHealth ideal.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license; strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain medical history and vitals.
• Administer injections/immunizations and collect specimens.
• Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing, and minor procedures.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups, support chronic disease care.
• Assist with prior authorizations and care gaps with the care team.
• Support patient treatment plans and medication administration per protocol.
