Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support patient-centered care in a value-based practice. You will room patients, document vitals and history, and coordinate care beyond visits, ensuring smooth clinical operations with the Upperline Plus provider team.

The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and able to thrive in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting. This on-site role is based in Carmel, IN with travel to Indianapolis facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified MA or 2+ years in a medical primary care setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with patients, families, and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs and medical history.
• Assist NP with health assessments and clinic visits.
• Coordinate care and support extended care team efforts.
• Document clinical information accurately in the EHR.
• Perform medication reconciliation and manage referrals and prior authorizations.
• Engage in telephonic outreach to coordinate preventative care.
