Job summary

Millennium Physician Group in Lakeway, TX is seeking a dependable Medical Assistant for a primary care practice. The role is Back Office focused, supporting providers and ensuring compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year MA experience, strong communication, and the ability to commute to Lakeway. Training on Athena EMR and exposure to primary care are a plus; the schedule is Monday–Friday with some Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
• Preferred experience with Athena EMR
• Primary care or family medicine experience preferred
• Professional, courteous, dependable work ethic
• Ability to commute to Lakeway, TX

Responsibilities

• Room and prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medications, and allergies
• Perform in-office diagnostic testing and treatments (EKGs, spirometry, peak flow, bone density, nebulizer)
• Assist physicians, PAs, and NPs during exams and procedures
• Administer injections and immunizations as ordered
• Monitor patients following injections and vaccinations
• Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients
• Process prescription refill requests per provider protocols
• Handle patient calls, pharmacy requests, referrals, insurance inquiries, and coordination of care
• Clean and sanitize exam rooms and sterilize instruments
