Job summary

Virtua is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support primary care clinics in New Jersey. The role is on-site with responsibilities across patient prep, basic medical treatments, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and coordination of tests and referrals.

Applicants should have a graduate of an approved LPN program and a current NJ LPN license, plus CPR certification. The position offers a part-time Schedule and a competitive hourly rate with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in primary care preferred, minimum 6 months experience in a physician practice.
• Knowledge of minor surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Graduate of approved LPN School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs and preparing patient for provider exam.
• Provides general medical treatment such as administering medications, applying appliances, dressings, and first aid as ordered by physician.
• Performs phlebotomy and obtains specimens for processing; administers vaccines and completes required documentation; performs diagnostic tests (EKG, PFT) as ordered.
• Coordinates test and referral tracking to support care coordination.
• Maintains clinical supply par levels and ensures regulatory testing is completed and documented.
