Job summary

Virtua in New Jersey seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support primary care teams within a busy clinic. The role includes patient prep, vital signs, vaccinations, phlebotomy, and assisting clinicians with exams.

You will participate in care coordination and patient education, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in a physician practice, knowledge of minor procedures, sterile technique, and an active NJ LPN license with CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in primary care preferred; minimum 6 months in a physician practice.
• Knowledge of minor surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Graduate of approved LPN School of Nursing.
• Current NJ LPN License. CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Practice Leadership to conduct Daily Huddles and Weekly Care Team meetings to review population health data.
• Prepares patient for exam by obtaining and documenting vital signs and chief complaint.
• Prepares exam room and assists during provider exam.
• Administers vaccines and performs phlebotomy and basic diagnostic tests as ordered.
