Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs invites applications for a Primary Care Licensed Practical Nurse at the Sterling VA Clinic, part of the Iowa City VA Health Care System.

In this outpatient role you will support patient-centered care by performing health screenings, rooming patients, assisting with procedures, and administering medications within a collaborative PACT. You will help coordinate clinic flow, reinforce preventive care, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Active, full, and unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the United States.
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility as required by VA policy.
• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Completed education through an approved program as an LPN/LVN.

Responsibilities

• Perform health screenings and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications per protocol.
• Coordinate clinic flow with the PACT team.
• Provide patient education and preventive care counseling.
