Job Opportunity Job ID: 48639 Positions Location: Lansing, MI
General Purpose of Job: Responsible for the efficient and effective processing of patients through clerical and clinical areas of the practice/clinic. Under the general direction of the physician or advanced practice provider, provides high-quality, compassionate patient care.
Essential Duties: This includes preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs, performing laboratory tests, answering calls, scheduling appointments, administering medications, patient education, maintaining logs, and supporting practice standards.
Job Requirements: Must demonstrate knowledge of patient privacy (HIPAA), adhere to ICARE values, communicate effectively using AIDET, and work safely. Relevant clinical experience or recent completion of a medical assistant program is required. A high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience are necessary. Skills include age-specific patient care, effective communication, and proficiency in EMR systems.
