Job summary

Ascension is seeking an on-site Patient Access/Administrative Support role in Austin, TX. You will greet patients, verify demographics, obtain authorizations, schedule appointments, and manage charges and payments to ensure accurate daily deposits.

Minimum education includes a high school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of related experience. Licensure or certification can substitute for education or experience where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year related experience is required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, check patients in and out, and obtain necessary documentation.
• Verify and enter demographic information.
• Obtain and verify insurance authorizations/precertification. Schedule/confirm patient appointments.
• Enter, review and submit charges for patient procedures and services daily. Collect co-payments and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
• Provide general office and clerical support to assigned area.

Education
