Job summary

Spectra Health in Grand Forks, ND seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant to conduct assessments, provide targeted behavioral interventions, and collaborate with primary care, dental, social services, and addiction treatment teams. Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or related behavioral health sciences.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or LMSW or LPCC or LPC licensure.
• Experience with motivational interviewing; comfortable in a primary care setting with an interdisciplinary team.
• Belief in trauma-informed care and harm reduction principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief consultation services to patients and providers using the Primary Care Behavioral Health Model.
• Assist clients in identifying and achieving goals related to mental health and health behaviors.
• Evaluate crises and apply appropriate interventions.
• Support the primary care team in developing processes, behavioral interventions, and patient education for self-management of chronic disease.
• Facilitate referrals to specialty mental health or addiction counseling when needed.
• Demonstrate cultural humility and provide an inclusive, safe environment.
• Assist with tracking behavioral health patient registries and case reviews with consulting psychiatrist.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation through the EHR.
• Work at both the Larimore and Grand Forks locations.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
