Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Medical Assistant to work with the primary care providers, delivering safe, timely, and patient-centered care in a collaborative clinic setting.

Under supervision, you will support the care team, participate in training, and help uphold Mercy Service Standards while contributing to quality outcomes for patients served in Mercy clinics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care or medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Job Description

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic

New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training
