Job summary

Mercy seeks a Primary Care Medical Assistant to work with Primary Care Providers to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the MA will support providers and the care team, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient services while upholding Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care or medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

• Support Mercy Primary Care Providers and care team to deliver safe, timely, and patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with patients, providers, and other care team members to drive quality outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication and documentation within the clinical workflow.
• Complete MA Clinic Academy training as required.

The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic

New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training
