Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Primary Care Medical Assistant to support our Primary Care Providers in delivering patient-centered care. You will partner with patients, providers, and the care team to drive quality outcomes in a fast-paced clinical setting.

New hires will attend the MA Clinic Academy training; a High school diploma is required, and graduation from an MA program is preferred. One year of patient care or medical office experience is desired, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• One year of applicable patient care experience or clinic-based medical office experience preferred.
• New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the primary care operations team, the Primary Care Patient Care MA works directly with Mercy Primary Care Providers to provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care in a systematic way. The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Duties and responsibilities will be performed in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Education Preferred: Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program

Experience Preferred: One year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by the clinic

New hire must attend MA Clinic Academy training
