Job summary

The Sacramento LGBT Community Center is seeking a Pride & Events Manager to lead planning and production of flagship events, including the Sacramento Pride March & Festival, and other advocacy and fundraising events.

You will oversee budgeting, vendor management, safety, accessibility, and post-event evaluation, while building partnerships with community organizations and volunteers to ensure inclusive experiences.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects, deadlines, budgets, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience developing budgets, monitoring revenue/expenses, and planning contingencies.
• Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers and event teams.
• Experience documenting event plans, SOPs, checklists, and timelines.
• Experience with municipal or governmental permitting preferred.
• Familiarity with Sacramento-area venues and public agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and produce Sacramento Pride March & Festival and related Center events from concept to post‑event evaluation.
• Coordinate volunteers, partners, and cross‑functional teams; maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, vendor contracts, permits, insurance, and on‑site operations for events.
• Develop and implement event systems, templates, schedules, and documentation.
• Ensure accessibility, safety, and inclusive experiences for all participants.
• Lead post‑event evaluations and share findings with leadership and board committees.
