Job summary

The Sacramento LGBT Community Center in Sacramento, CA seeks a Pride & Events Manager to lead planning and production for the Center’s signature events, including Sacramento Pride March & Festival. You will manage budgets, staffing, vendors, permits, and ensuring inclusive, accessible experiences that advance community impact.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience with large‑scale events, strong project management and collaboration skills, and a commitment to uplifting LGBTQ+ communities

Qualifications

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects, including budgets and logistics.
• Experience budgeting, revenue monitoring, risk planning, and contingency action.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
• Experience recruiting, training, coordinating, and supporting volunteers.
• Ability to document event plans, SOPs, checklists and timelines.
• Preference for experience with municipal/special-event permitting.
• Familiarity with Sacramento venues, vendors and public agencies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, produce, and operate Center events, ensuring safety, accessibility and on-time delivery.
• Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers and cross-functional teams.
• Support revenue generation through sponsorships and partnerships.
• Oversee budgets, vendors, permits, site plans, and logistics.
• Track performance metrics and post-event evaluations for improvement.
