Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; preferred post-secondary certificate or diploma in business/admin, retail management, accounting/finance, supply chain; associate or bachelor’s degree in business/economics/management/data analytics is a plus.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in retail operations, pricing, merchandising, or related role; price setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and update pricing across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Respond to stores and vendors regarding pricing discrepancies and update requests.
• Assist pricing and DSD staff with technical and reporting issues and inquiries.
• Answer general inquiries from store and administrative associates, not limited to pricing.
• Utilize numerical and analytical skills to support pricing strategies and decisions.
• Ensure attention to detail in understanding retail margins, promotions, and markdowns.
• Leverage Excel and sometimes SQL or BI tools to analyze data and generate reports.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance pricing systems and processes.
• Support the implementation of pricing strategies aligned with business goals and market trends.

Job Purpose

- The Pricing Specialist at Hugo's Family Marketplace is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating pricing across multiple systems to ensure accuracy and consistency. This role involves responding to pricing discrepancies and update requests from stores and vendors, assisting with technical and reporting issues, and addressing general inquiries from store and administrative associates. The Pricing Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the pricing and DSD staff, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the pricing operations.
