Job summary

Altarum Institute is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support proposal pricing and manage program finances across federally funded contracts and grants. You’ll partner with Project Directors, PMO, andContracts teams to align pricing with budgets and staffing plans.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in financial analysis, pricing and government contracting, with strong Excel skills and experience in Deltek Costpoint.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant financial analysis, pricing, accounting, and program finance experience.
• Experience in proposal pricing, cost volume development, or basis-of-estimate (BOE) preparation.
• Familiarity with government contract types (cost-reimbursable, T&M, FFP) and basic FAR cost principles.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent programs and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial data for non-financial audiences.

Responsibilities

• Pricing Support: Develop cost proposals and pricing volumes for new work and recompete opportunities.
• Program Finance: Track costs, prepare budgets, spend plans, and cost forecasts with project directors.
• Matrixed PMO support: Provide financial data for portfolio reporting, dashboards, and executive reviews.
• Contribute to cross-program analyses to flag financial risks and misalignments.
