Job summary

USCG Community Services Command seeks a Pricing Specialist to support buyers by implementing strategies, analyzing sales trends and adjusting actions to maximize profitability at the Chesapeake, VA headquarters. Position is full-time, 30-40 hours/week, with pay of $19.05/hour plus DOE.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years general merchandising/administration experience, and basic Excel skills; a bachelor’s degree and advanced Excel/merchandise systems experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years general experience in merchandising, administration or an Associate’s degree.
• Experience in Microsoft Office with basic Excel experience.
• This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer to maximize sales and profitability through strategy, analysis and reaction to sales trends.
• Work under supervision and operate independently within policies and regulations; exercise judgment in routine and non-routine situations.
• Maintain professionalism, customer service to internal and external customers and collaborate with vendors and colleagues.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
