Job summary

Coast Guard Community Services Command in Chesapeake, VA is seeking a Pricing Specialist to help maximize sales and profitability in a defined area through strategic analysis and responsive actions to market trends.

The role works under the Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer and requires independent judgment within CSC/CGX policies. A background in merchandising and Microsoft Office is preferred, with occasional lifting upto 20 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two years general experience in merchandising, administration or an Associate’s degree required.
• Experience in Microsoft Office with basic Excel experience required.
• This is a white-collar position; occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Buyer/Associate Buyer or Assistant Buyer to maximize sales and profitability through strategy, analysis and reaction to sales trends.
• Operate under supervision and maintain adherence to CSC/CGX policies while exercising independent judgment.
• Maintain professionalism and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Maintain collaborative partnerships with vendors and internal/external colleagues.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
