Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Stocking Clerk to support store operations with stocking, backroom duties, and customer service. You will move products from pallets to shelves, maintain a clean workspace, and assist leadership to ensure timely completion of tasks. Overnight shifts are required once per week.

Experience is not required; we value reliability and teamwork. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, organization, and making a visible daily impact in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• This entry level role requires basic tech comfort and teamwork.
• Ability to stay organized and follow store procedures.
• Needs physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs and daily movement.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets to shelves accurately and efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back rooms.
• Work with leadership to complete assigned areas on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support additional tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position will be responsible for delivering remarkable customer service by providing customers with exceptional product knowledge, efficient service and a friendly attitude. This entry level team member position will be exposed to a variety of retail tasks related to product, customer service and merchandising.

What You’ll Do

As a Stocking Clerk, you play a critical role in keeping our store running smoothly. Your work ensures shelves are fully stocked for our customers to provide an exceptional shopping experience.

You’ll:

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products
• Move product from pallets or carts to the correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back‑room areas
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
