Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Pricing Specialist to support the West Division of Commercial, handling daily pricing, analysis, allocation, and reporting across geographies. You’ll collaborate with Marketing Territory Managers, Schedulers, Traders, and IT to optimize the value chain in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes advanced Excel and PowerBI skills, pricing analysis, and project work across multiple geographies with opportunities to lead internal projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2+ years of analytical, pricing, fuel marketing/sales, supply ops, or profitability roles.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerBI.
• Experience developing pricing models and reports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes daily pricing for multiple light products and geographies.
• Collaborates with partners to optimize value chain and strategy.
• Works with Commercial Market teams to balance sales vs. forecast.
• Analyzes monthly volume and netback performance by region.
• Monitors market trends and competitor pricing activity.
• Develops insights and presents to management and ops teams.
• Maintains pricing tools and supports IT enhancements.
• Rotational weekend and holiday pricing & allocation support.
