Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Pricing Analyst to support pricing strategy and execution in a hybrid office setting in Marlborough, MA. You will analyze pricing trends, monitor competitor activity, and collaborate with Merchandising and Finance to optimize margins and category performance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 0–3 years of relevant experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, and SAP.

Position Summary:

The Pricing Analyst supports the development and execution of pricing strategies that drive profitable growth while maintaining a competitive position in the retail marketplace. This role is responsible for analyzing pricing trends, monitoring competitor activity, managing category performance, and executing pricing decisions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and able to balance data analysis with timely pricing execution while collaborating closely with Merchandising and other cross-functional partners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned categories by monitoring pricing, margin performance, and competitive positioning
• Develop data-driven pricing recommendations that balance competitiveness, profitability, and value.
• Execute pricing changes accurately while ensuring alignment against pricing operational targets
• Monitor category margins by monitoring financial performance against forecasts and identifying corrective actions to achieve planned goals.
• Evaluate category performance and recommend pricing adjustments to achieve sales, margin, and financial goals
• Evaluate key business metrics to understand category performance and determine which pricing levers can be adjusted to improve results.
• Partner closely with Merchandising, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to support pricing decisions and business initiatives.
• Assess large datasets to identify pricing opportunities, trends, and areas for optimization.
• Ensure pricing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
• Take ownership of ad hoc analyses, special projects, and strategic initiatives as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 0-3 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
• Understanding of pricing strategy, margin management, and category financial performance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or other business intelligence tools is preferred. Familiarity with SAP is a plus
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional partners and senior leadership.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

This is a hybrid role. Tuesday through Thursday are in-office days at BJ's Club Support Center in Marlborough, MA and Monday and Friday are remote days.

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.
