Job summary

American Family Mutual Insurance Company seeks an Actuarial Associate to join the Pricing team. You will review homeowner pricing, act as the main pricing resource for select states, and provide actuarial recommendations to the Product Manager responsible for state performance.

The role offers collaboration with Government Affairs, Compliance, IT Leadership, Partner Management, Operations, and Claims, enabling broad exposure within the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with quantitative analytical knowledge.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally in Property & Casualty insurance.
• Passing grades on a minimum of 5 Casualty Actuarial exams and pursuit of FCAS.
• Self-starter who can identify opportunities and implement plans.
• Ability to identify business problems and build analytical/financial frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct state-level rate, rule, underwriting, and product reviews and make recommendations.
• Develop pricing analyses to support Homeowners products for selected states.
• Collaborate with other departments to support product performance and pricing strategy.
