Job summary

American Family Insurance in Madison, WI seeks an Actuary on the Rate Indications team to lead complex pricing analyses for personal lines property. You will develop models, present findings to partners, and drive pricing strategies across the organization.

The role reports to Senior Manager, Product Actuary and requires ACAS/FCAS with strong actuarial forecasting skills and negotiation with stakeholders in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• ACAS or FCAS designation required or eligible.
• Strong knowledge of property and casualty pricing & ratemaking.
• Experience with actuarial analysis, forecasting, and data modeling.
• Ability to communicate insights to partners and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex analyses for insurance pricing in personal lines property.
• Develop and revise actuarial methodologies related to ratemaking.
• Present findings and recommendations to support pricing strategies.
• Collaborate with partners across the organization to address business concerns.
• Contribute to indication development and the recurring pricing process.
• Support rate reviews and pricing committee discussions for product pricing.
• Assist with data efforts including dataset development and analytics.
