Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a preventive maintenance technician in Washington state to maintain the newest fleet of trucks and trailers. You will perform preventive maintenance on Ford and GMC models, on-site in Auburn, WA, with access to Ford, GMC, and U-Haul training programs.

The role includes a paid hands-on interview and a $100 hiring bonus. Qualifications include basic mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license is required.
• Ability to work both in a team and independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervision.
