Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform routine maintenance on Ford and GMC trucks, ensuring our fleet remains in top condition for customers. This on-site opportunity is in Auburn, WA and includes lifting, lubrication, oil changes and minor part replacements.

We provide training through our Technician Training Program and supply the necessary tools. A valid driver's license and basic mechanical aptitude are required to join our team committed to safety and service.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Regular attendance and reliability.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist.
