Job summary

KW Container is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems at our Troy, Alabama site. The role requires inspecting and servicing mechanical components, lubricating parts, and assisting with repairs as needed.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with responsibilities spanning safety compliance, equipment tracking, and collaboration with maintenance leadership to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Able to work in various work environments (inside/outside).
• Proper use of equipment and job-related tools.
• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing or kneeling.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, leaks, loose components, abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, and other signs of potential failure.
• Lubricate bearings, chains, gears, and other mechanical components according to established maintenance schedules.
• Inspect and maintain belts, chains, sprockets, bearings, motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
• Replace worn or damaged components as needed during preventative maintenance activities.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all other required safety procedures when servicing equipment.
