Makino Inc. seeks a Machine Preventive Maintenance Technician in Mason, OH, to learn and perform basic mechanical maintenance on customer equipment.

The role emphasizes building skills in assembly, operation, and maintenance, while maintaining strong customer relationships and completing administrative duties. You will train in measuring and repairing equipment, documenting service activities, and using Makino databases.

Responsibilities

• Complete 10-week familiarization; development classes and OJT.
• Develop knowledge of Makino machine tool assembly, operation, and maintenance.
• Improve service and installation reports and expense documentation.
• Demonstrate basic mechanical repairs and PM activities with test equipment.
• Read and interpret basic schematics and drawings.
• Maintain daily communications with customers for resolution and follow-up.
• Keep tools and test equipment calibrated.
• Utilize company databases (ServiceDoc, MILK, KnowledgeBase, EDM, Metrix/FSM, SAP).
• Develop digital literacy for computing, networking, AR, and multimedia communications.
• Maintain responsibility for assigned equipment and timely return.
