Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma; an associate degree or mold & die apprenticeship is preferred.
• Basic CNC knowledge and hands-on machining experience are required.
• Strong technical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills are important.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team; travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer part geometry to choose optimal machining processes, tooling, cutting time, and surface finish.
• Develop solutions using Makino equipment and third-party products; test and document results.
• Create and edit CNC tool paths for customer applications and demos.
• Conduct pre-sale demonstrations to support sales and differentiate Makino technology.
• Provide post-sale technical support via on-site visits, training, and troubleshooting.
• Represent Makino at trade shows with live demos and technical discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing, sales, and other teams to provide technical expertise.
• Stay current with die/mold technology and machining innovations through training.
