Job summary

University of Alaska Facilities Services seeks a detail-oriented professional to support the preventative maintenance program across Fairbanks and remote campuses. The role blends hands-on field work with CMMS data management to track equipment, inspections, service, and maintenance schedules.

The candidate will have at least two years of technical experience and proficiency with AiM CMMS, Excel, and database entry; a related degree and Alaska driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years of college-level education or equivalent; Alaska driver’s license required.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred.
• Experience with CMMS and database management.
• Familiarity with building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain asset records and develop preventative maintenance schedules.
• Identify, inventory, and tag equipment across campus facilities.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, project managers, and contractors.
• Read plans, drawings, specifications, and O&M manuals.

Education

Two years of college level education in Engineering/Industrial/Construction Technology or equivalent
