You’ll spend your day performing preventive maintenance tasks, identifying issues early, and coordinating with residents and managers to keep properties safe and comfortable. The role requires dependability, multi-tasking, and strong troubleshooting with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine maintenance on residential properties.
• Ability to troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting tasks.
• Strong communication with residents and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple work orders and priorities with limited supervision.
• Demonstrates dependability and ownership of work.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance work orders across properties.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, inspections, and general maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine effective solutions.
• Keep residents and property teams updated on work status.
• Order or pick up materials needed to complete jobs.
• Document and update work orders in maintenance system.
• Coordinate with other technicians and vendors as needed.
• Care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation for emergencies.

Do you like working independently, solving problems, and keeping buildings running the way they should? Uptown Rental Properties is looking for a Preventative Maintenance Technician to help keep our communities in great shape and provide a great experience for our residents.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll spend most of your day completing preventative maintenance work and helping identify issues before they become bigger problems.

You will:

Complete preventative maintenance work orders throughout our properties

Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, inspections, and general maintenance

Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine the best solution

Keep residents and property teams updated on the status of work

Order or pick up materials needed to complete jobs

Document and update work orders in our maintenance system

Work with other technicians and outside vendors when additional help is needed

Properly care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and other resources

Participate in a scheduled after-hours on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
