Uptown Rental Properties in the Greater Cincinnati area is looking for a dependable Field Technician to support interior and exterior property upkeep across multiple sites. This full-time, first-shift position requires a company vehicle to travel between properties and maintain curb appeal, safety, and resident satisfaction.

You will handle daily work orders via an iPhone-based system, assist with moving and setup tasks, and respond to weather-related emergencies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Prior Field Technician, Porter, or Grounds experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle report.
• Moderate to heavy physical demands including lifting and outdoor work.

Responsibilities

• Maintain exterior grounds and common areas to Uptown’s high standards.
• Trash management and moving bins on scheduled days.
• Litter removal in exterior and interior common areas.
• Gutter cleaning, leaf blowing, and pet station maintenance.
• Snow removal and salting walkways during winter weather.
• Complete daily work orders efficiently using an iPhone-based system.
• Track property conditions and report new service issues.
• Assist with moving furniture, appliances, and materials.
• Respond to emergency weather events to ensure resident safety.
• Address interruptions and unplanned needs; support team goals.

About the Role

We’re looking for a dependable, skilled Field Technician to support interior and exterior property upkeep across multiple sites. This is a full‑time, first‑shift position requiring the use of a company vehicle to travel between properties.

You’ll play a critical role in maintaining curb appeal, cleanliness, safety, and overall resident satisfaction.

What You’ll Do

Property & Grounds Maintenance (65%)

• Maintain exterior grounds and common areas to Uptown’s high standards
• Trash management, including compactor use and moving bins on scheduled days
• Litter removal in exterior and interior common areas
• Gutter cleaning, leaf blowing, pet station maintenance
• Snow removal and salting walkways during winter weather

Work Orders & Daily Operations (20%)

• Complete daily work orders efficiently using an iPhone-based system
• Track property conditions and report new service issues
• Support large projects and assist with moving furniture, appliances, and materials

Emergency & Weather Response (5%)

• Respond to emergency weather events to ensure resident safety

Other Responsibilities (10%)

• Address interruptions and unplanned needs
• Support team goals and assist with additional tasks as assigned

  What You’ll Need

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Prior Field Technician, Porter, or Grounds experience preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with residents of all ages and backgrounds
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle report
  • This position involves moderate to heavy physical demands, including:
  • Standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting for ~90% of the workday
  • Climbing ladders up to 9 feet and working in overhead areas
  • Frequently lifting 50+ lbs and occasionally lifting 100+ lbs
  • Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Use of PPE when required
  • $17-$18.50/hour with paid training
