Job summary

Yancey Bros. Co. is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance on heavy equipment at customer job sites in Georgia. You will follow machine guidelines, work safely, and drive to sites daily.

Responsibilities include completing service work orders, maintaining equipment records, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Strong mechanical aptitude, reliable communication, and ability to work independently are essential. CDL-B preferred.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2–3 years with heavy equipment, automotive, or on-highway trucks.
Mechanical background and tool knowledge.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
21+ with valid driver’s license; Class B CDL preferred.
Able to pass driver screenings and DOT requirements.

Complete time sheets and inspections for services.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician, you will be performing preventive maintenance on various types of customer/rental machines as per machine guidelines in a safe and timely manner on customer job sites.

Primary Responsibilities

Drive to customer’s job site daily to complete preventive maintenance.
Operate heavy equipment to determine deficiency’s or performance issues daily.
Perform all necessary preventive maintenance work for each specific interval service.
Complete all work orders, time sheets & inspections from completed services.
Operate service truck safely and comply with all regulations.
Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required

Additional Responsibilities

Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Required Qualifications/Skills

Must have a mechanical background with 2 to 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or on highway trucks.
Basic computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Can work independently with little to no supervision
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and occasional weekends
Candidates missing one requirement will still be considered
Must be 21-years-old or older.
Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:

Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
DOT Physical
Drug Screen

Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR
391.15.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable.
