Yancey Bros. Co. in Georgia is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance on diesel heavy machines at customer job sites.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, ability to read guidelines, and a valid driver's license (Class B CDL preferred); training provided; full-time on-site with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of heavy equipment, automotive, or truck experience.
• Must be 21+ with valid Class B CDL preferred.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Drive to customer job site daily to complete preventive maintenance.
• Operate heavy equipment to identify deficiencies and performance issues.
• Perform all necessary preventive maintenance for each interval service.
• Complete all work orders, time sheets and inspections for completed services.
• Operate service truck safely and comply with regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required.
• Participate in required safety program and work safely.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician, you will be performing preventive maintenance on various types of customer/rental machines as per machine guidelines in a safe and timely manner on customer job sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive to customer’s job site daily to complete preventive maintenance.
• Operate heavy equipment to determine deficiency’s or performance issues daily.
• Perform all necessary preventive maintenance work for each specific interval service.
• Complete all work orders, time sheets & inspections from completed services.
• Operate service truck safely and comply with all regulations.
• Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
• Additional duties as assigned by manager.

You should possess a strong sense of urgency and desire to provide superior customer service. The ability to take direction and work in a team environment is essential to this position as well.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Must have a mechanical background with 2 to 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or on highway trucks.
• Basic computer skills
• Can work independently with little to no supervision
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and occasional weekends
• Candidates missing one requirement will still be considered
• Must be 21-years-old or older.
• Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
  • Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
  • Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
  • DOT Physical
  • Drug Screen
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable.
