Yancey Bros. Co. seeks a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance on customer or rental machines at customer job sites in Georgia.

You will drive daily to sites, operate heavy equipment to assess conditions, and complete interval service tasks with accurate work orders. Requirements include a mechanical background with 2–3 years of experience, ability to read/write/speak English, and a valid driver’s license (Class B CDL preferred).

Qualifications

Must have a mechanical background with 2 to 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or on highway trucks.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Can work independently with little to no supervision.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and occasional weekends.
Must be 21-years-old or older.
Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

Drive to customer’s job site daily to complete preventive maintenance.
Operate heavy equipment to determine deficiencies or performance issues daily.
Perform all necessary preventive maintenance work for each specific interval service.
Complete all work orders, time sheets & inspections from completed services.
Operate service truck safely and comply with all regulations.
Must be able to obtain a CDL license if required.
Participate in required safety program and work in a safe manner.
Additional duties as assigned by manager.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician, you will be performing preventive maintenance on various types of customer/rental machines as per machine guidelines in a safe and timely manner on customer job sites.

Education/Experience

High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Qualifications/Skills

Candidates missing one requirement will still be considered.
Must be 21-years-old or older.
Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including, but not limited to:
- Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
- Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
- DOT Physical.
- Drug Screen.
Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR 391.15.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis on mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable.
