Job summary

Yancey Bros Co. in Georgia is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician to perform on-site preventive maintenance on customer and rental machines according to manufacturer guidelines. You will travel to job sites daily and conduct diagnostics on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.

A high school diploma and mechanical experience are required; CDL may be preferred. The company offers full benefits and opportunities for on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a mechanical background with 2 to 3 years of experience with heavy equipment, automotive, or on highway trucks.
• Basic computer skills.
• Can work independently with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include some nights and occasional weekends.
• Candidates missing one requirement will still be considered.
• Must be 21-years-old or older.
• Valid, active driver's license. Class B CDL license preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15.
• DOT Physical
• Drug Screen

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician, you will be performing preventive maintenance on various types of customer/rental machines as per machine guidelines in a safe and timely manner on customer job sites.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Ability to clear driver screenings and provide necessary information for a complete DQ file, including but not limited to:
  • Road Test administered by Yancey personnel.
  • Background check and MVR with less than 10 points.
  • DOT Physical

• Must not be disqualified to drive a CMV under 49 CFR § 391.15.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

• Course work from accredited trade school, college or university with emphasis in mechanics, hydraulics, and automotive electronics is desirable.
