Job summary

Aimbridge Hospitality, LLC's Courtyard Chicago Midway Airport is seeking a Preventative Maintenance Engineer to keep guest rooms and public areas in top condition. You’ll perform preventative repairs, respond to work orders, and assist with carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment upkeep to ensure smooth operations.

You’ll interact with guests and colleagues, maintain safety standards, and may drive the shuttle when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver’s license for the applicable state (property specific).
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record).

Responsibilities

• Fix-It Pro: perform preventative maintenance and repairs—from bulbs to patches and furniture/tiles.
• Equipment Whisperer: repair and tune-up ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen gadgets, laundry gear, HVAC, pool and hot tub.
• Safety Hero: respond to alarms; investigate and report findings to Front Desk.
• Trusted Access: handle access to safes, master keys, storage rooms and secured files with integrity and trust.
• Guest Connection: interact with guests and colleagues, represent the company professionally and drive safely when needed.
