Job summary

Pepper Construction Group LLC is seeking a Prevailing Wage Specialist to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage rules for the Self-Perform group (SPG). The role involves collaborating with field leaders, payroll, accounting, and compliance teams, gathering wage documents, and maintaining records in Davis-Bacon contexts.

Responsibilities include reviewing weekly payrolls, resolving wage discrepancies, and preparing certified reports for submission.

Qualifications

Two or more years of certified payroll experience preferred.
Experience supporting a general contractor or public works environment preferred.
Working knowledge of prevailing wage laws, Davis‑Bacon requirements, fringe benefits and wage classifications.
Experience with payroll systems and Excel required.
Ability to interpret contracts, wage determinations, field time records and agency requirements.

Responsibilities

Export weekly time for SPG payroll and assign prevailing wage rates by trade class and county.
Review weekly certified payroll reports for accuracy of pay rates and fringe benefits.
Address discrepancies or disputes promptly to maintain compliance.
Create and maintain SPG Prevailing Wage Notices and project documentation.
Coordinate with SPG subcontractors on prevailing wage documentation requirements.
