Job summary

Pepper Construction is hiring a Prevailing Wage Specialist in Dublin, Ohio to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage rules including Davis-Bacon. You will coordinate with field teams, payroll, accounting, HR, and subcontractors to collect wage documents and maintain accurate records.

The role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and effective communication to resolve wage discrepancies and support audits while safeguarding confidential information.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of certified payroll or labor compliance experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems and timekeeping platforms, Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with field leadership, payroll, and compliance staff to collect prevailing wage documents.
• Export weekly time for SPG payroll and assign wage rates by trade class and county.
• Review weekly certified payroll reports for accuracy of pay rates and fringe benefits.
• Address discrepancies promptly and maintain project prevailing wage records.
• Prepare and file weekly certified payroll reports for SPG and subcontractors.
• Create and maintain Prevailing Wage Notices to Employees at hire or rate changes.
• Communicate wage rate updates to Pepper SPG subs and assist audits and inquiries.
