Job summary

New Energy Equity is seeking a Prevailing Wage Specialist to own end-to-end compliance for PWA requirements across solar O&M contracts. You will coordinate payroll outputs, ensure correct classifications, and prepare documentation for project owners.

You will serve as the primary liaison with subcontractors and project owners, maintaining audit-ready records and meeting strict deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in prevailing wage, certified payroll, or labor compliance administration.
• Knowledge of wage determinations, classifications, fringe benefits, and correction mechanics.
• Hands-on payroll experience across multi-state jurisdictions.
• Experience submitting certified payroll through client portals (e.g., LCPtracker).
• Ability to own a recurring compliance calendar and meet deadlines independently.
• Strong written and verbal communication with external clients.
• Proficiency with payroll systems and Excel; reconcile data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prevailing wage rate administration across projects and scopes.
• Apply contract rates incl. fringe benefits to Laborers and Mechanics.
• Ensure hours are coded to correct project/classification as payroll runs.
• Prepare monthly payroll documentation packages for project owners.
• Communicate with subcontractors and manage documentation submissions.
• Monitor for underpayments and coordinate corrections with payroll.
• Respond to owner requests and audits with professional communication.
• Maintain audit-ready records for tax credit compliance.
