Job summary

Thompson Concrete is seeking a Certified Payroll & Prevailing Wage Coordinator to ensure compliance across ongoing construction projects. You will interpret federal, state, and local wage requirements, administer certified payroll reporting, review records, and collaborate with payroll, accounting, project teams, customers, and contractors to resolve issues.

The role requires hands-on experience with prevailing wage, payroll determinations, and strong Microsoft Office skills, with focus on

Qualifications

• Experience with prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements.
• Knowledge of state and local prevailing wage rules and determinations.
• Experience reviewing wage determinations, classifications, fringe benefits, and payroll docs.
• Advanced Microsoft Office & computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Review determinations to identify fringe benefits, overtime and reporting needs.
• Interpret applicable wage regulations for prevailing wage compliance.
• Prepare, review and submit accurate payroll reports and compliance statements.
• Verify classifications, hours, rates, fringes, deductions, overtime, and allocations.
• Review subcontractor payrolls, fix discrepancies, and maintain compliance files.
• Coordinate with payroll, accounting, project teams, subcontractors and customers to resolve questions.
• Maintain wage rates, project requirements, payroll submissions and audit-ready docs.
• Monitor contract changes and communicate impacts to teams.
• Support agency by explaining calculations and findings.
• Develop and improve procedures to promote compliance on active projects.
