Job summary

Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court seeks a dedicated Pretrial Services Officer II to support statewide QA, case management oversight, and program delivery from Albuquerque. The role includes background investigations, release planning, and remote/specialized supervision to ensure court compliance and data accuracy.

The position requires a strong understanding of court-ordered programs, NM law, and electronic monitoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice, social sciences or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of directly related or relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Three years experience in criminal justice, social services, probation, corrections or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-release and pre-adjudication background investigations on defendants.
• Formulate release plans and case management plans based on statutes, rules, court appearances and criminal history.
• Supervise defendant’s compliance with court-ordered programs and conditions of release.
• Provide input during court proceedings and other agency meetings.
• Monitor compliance using electronic monitoring technology.
