Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court in Albuquerque, NM seeks a Pretrial Services Officer 2 to join the Judicial Supervision and Diversion Programs Division. The role involves conducting background investigations, formulating release and case management plans, and supervising defendants under court-ordered conditions.

The officer will act as a judicial designee, present findings to the Court, and collaborate with treatment providers to monitor compliance and progress in the pretrial process.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in criminal justice, social sciences or related field.
• Four (4) years of directly related or relevant experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
• Three (3) years' experience in criminal justice, social services, probation, corrections or related field.

Mansioni

• Conduct prerelease and pre-adjudication background investigations on defendants.
• Formulate release plans and case management plans based on statutes, rules, court appearances and criminal history.
• Supervise a defendant's compliance with court-ordered programs and conditions of release.
• Provide recommendations for release eligibility, sanctions, and detention as a judicial designee.
• Document interactions and update case management assessments.
• Oversee supervision contracts and supervision protocol based on program policies.
