Job summary

Douglas County Government (CO) is seeking a staff member to interview felony and misdemeanor defendants at the Douglas County Detention Center. The purpose is to establish residence, family ties, employment, and past criminal history to assist the District/County courts in setting appropriate bail bonds.

The role involves data entry in the Division's computer databases and accessing NCIC/CCIC, the Colorado Judicial Information System, and the Denver Courts System to verify histories and compile

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field preferred.
• At least one year of experience in the criminal justice system or related work.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Interview defendants in the detention center to establish residence, ties, employment and history for bond reports.
• Enter defendant information into the division's databases and court systems for reporting.
• Analyze criminal history events to support risk assessment scoring in bond reports.
• Perform routine administrative tasks and assist with other duties as needed.
