Job summary

Smith County agency seeks a Pretrial Officer to supervise caseloads under limited supervision, enforcing bond conditions and collecting urine samples for drug testing. You will interface with the Courts and maintain professional discretion in all client interactions.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, fluent English, and the ability to pass background and drug screening. Hours are 8:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Friday, with a salary of $47,000 and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Background check and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise an assigned caseload according to laws and policies.
• Explain bond conditions to defendants and conduct initial interviews.
• Perform urinalysis collection and observe testing procedures.
• Monitor defendant compliance and report findings to the Court.
• Attend Court hearings, provide testimony, and prepare reports.
• Ensure accurate data in the department system and collect fees.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
